Hey everyone, I just finished a new feature that is in Beta.

Site administrators can find database errors and repair them by themselves, so hopefully this helps people get back up and running faster.

Also, even sites that are running fine may be analyzed for errors...just to be certain things are working fine.

To try this out, go to [yoursite]/?diagnose=1

I look forward to feedback on this new feature.

-Scott

I'm game to try it out.
My portal vanished a week ago.

What do I do though?
When I clicked to go to my portal I saw the new message and clicked on the link back to my own board..presumably to the diagnoze and repair tool..

Er..then I got stumped.. rolleyes.gif Am I been incredibly thick?

What is your board's link or url?

Also, to others, even sites that are functioning properly can try it out...just to confirm that there are no errors. I welcome all feedback as we test this out.

UPDATE: I think I had it set so only "network administrators" (MYSELF) can try it out. I believe I just made an update so others "site administrators" can now access it.

You must be logged into your site before visiting the link.

For example: Administrators of this site would go to
http://pss.invisionplus.net/?diagnose=1

It should be self explanatory once you are there...

do you see a header that sayd "Find database errors and repair them...by yourself!", with a captcha image code to put into a text box?

Thank you for trying it out. I believed Morticia, I just needed the reassurance that it was not site specific for the bug to jump out at me.

Can people try it again please, I think I made it accessible to site administrators now!
